Cuddly Kitty

Hey Everyone,

I finally did it and wrote out the pattern. Hope you enjoy it. Keep in mind the original pattern is from Last Minute Knitted Gifts and the only parts that are my own are the ears, tail, and face embrodery. So on to the pattern:

Cuddly Kitty

Materials:

>>>1 skien Loin Brand Microspun (my yarn choice, but I find as long as you ajust the needle size it really doesn’t matter, this is a wonderful stash busting project)

>>>2 US 6 circular needles (since it’s done in the round with 2 circulars the cable length isn’t too big of an issue, but 16″-24″ works best for me)

Pattern:

>>>Body:

  • Follow the instructions for Lovable Toys found in Last Minute Knitted Gifts (again I take no credit for this part of these instructions) for the arms, legs, body, and rabbit head. Follow the basic finishing insturctions.

>>>Tail:

  • CO 12 sts
  • Row 1: Knit
  • Row 2: Purl
  • Row 3: ssk, k8, k2tog
  • Row 4: ssp, p6, p2tog
  • Row 5-24: Work st st
  • Cut yarn leaving a 12″ tail. Thread through tapestry needle and pull through live sts dropping them off the knitting needle. Pull snug and seam the kitty tail closed. Sew the finished tail onto kitten.

>>>Ears:

  • CO 10 sts
  • Rows 1-3: Knit
  • Row 4: k2,p2, k2
  • Row 5: ssk, k6, k2tog
  • Row 6:k2, p2, k2
  • Row 7: ssk, k4, k2tog
  • Row 8: k2, p2, k2
  • Row 9: ssk, k2, k2tog
  • Row 10: ssk, k2tog
  • Row 11: k2tog
  • Cut yarn leaving a long enough tail to weave in end. Thread onto a tapestry needle and pull through live sts dropping them off knitting needle. Pull snug and weave in end.
  • Repeat all of the above for 2nd ear.
